Although I liked David Hobson’s version, Patti Smith’s version blew me away! Thanks for posting these. I would’ve missed them.
Patti Smith’s version is very introspective. I mean you can see it in her face just how deep she goes. I prefer the classically trained voice with this song, but Patti’s version is indeed lovely. Glad you enjoyed them Bruce.
I will say, however, that my favourite singer of this song was my mother – who, for the duration of my blogging, shall remain nameless!!
