news on the march

Welcome to Monday’s News on the March – The week that was in my digital world.

 Article by Nadine at Bloomwords:

The clothes hanging over the edge of the laundry hamper in her closet were as she’d left them. I am wearing some of them now. The teal-coloured Haida long-sleeved t-shirt.

I love to wear something that was close to her body when she’d been alive and well. It’s a comfort. I have been doing that every day...….… (Read  entire article).

Video presentation at ET’s Ramblings: Health, Aging & Politics :

Article by Mike Ennenbach at Mike’s Manic Word Depot:

two weeks ago we hit critical need for laundry and groceries as a true pro i was able to manage with a three dollar load of work essentials allowing for post shower nude lounging to balance it out

i could easily blame it on not having the cash but i had put ten bucks in my wallet and casually forgotten in an effort to keep laundry funds then allowed depression to strangle my ability to leave.....(Read entire article)

Video compilation at Mr G:

Video podcast at Eric Weinstein:

Anna Khachiyan is one smart cookie and I believe she will contribute enormously to public intellectual discourse. Expect to hear her name bandied about in social media circles over the coming years. For someone aged just 34 years old Anna’s articulation and command of the English language is impressive to say the least and her nuanced perspectives about complex issues are fascinating.

Eric works through a bottle of red wine on air with social, literary and artistic theorist Anna Khachiyan (co-host of the explosive and popular Red Scare podcast) to find out what is brewing on the anti-woke Left among the intellectual daughters of Camille Paglia. Anna takes us through her project of the reconstructed feminine combining irreverent intellectual dominance with a return to valuing motherhood informed by her claims on Soviet & American heritage. The intellectual foundation of the intersectional “oppression Olympics” and reparations discussion is further dissected amidst the twin specters of the Armenian & Jewish genocides which mysteriously appear not to register at all with today’s progressives. ..….(Watch entire podcast episode)

I’ve always been interested in Rocky. I remember as a kid I saw the computer fight between him and Ali… He was long retired then but he looked in great shape.

    • I remember in the movie ‘Rocky’ when Mickey talked about the picture of Rocky Marciano in his flat. Since then I wanted to know more about Marciano. The video here I found really informative and entertaining. I wasn’t even aware of that computer Sim fight between him and Ali until seeing this video. It seems Marciano had this freakish strength. Then of course Mayweather broke Marciano’s undefeated record a couple of years back.

Rocky was the classic underdog because of his size but he made up for it in training and just toughness.
Some say it’s because he didn’t meet great fighters in their prime in the era he fought..Some don’t like giving him credit…but he is one of the greats.

      • Yeh, 43 knockouts from 49 fights is quite the achievement!

Thank you so much for the mention; very kind, it means a lot. ❤︎
