news on the march

Welcome to Monday’s News on the March – The week that was in my digital world.

Ben & Russell Brand Uncover Shocking Biblical Truths
Video interview at Ben Shapiro

Ben Shapiro sits down with actor, comedian, and cultural thought leader, Russell Brand, to discuss the state of our culture today. They also analyze what the Bible says about slavery and the contrasts between Christian and Judeo beliefs. (Watch video clip here)

NAVE – Interview & Album Review: “God’s Waiting Room”
Music blog article by Jeff at Eclectic Music Lover

I wrote about NAVE’s ‘Broken Record’. But what I’ve heard so far from the music here is really enticing. It will take time to absorb it.

NAVE, the solo music project of British singer-songwriter, composer and producer Nathan Evans. Incorporating a broad array of genres and styles, including alternative rock, electronica, trip-hop, ambient, orchestral and dark wave, the hyper-talented Bournemouth-based artist creates dramatic, incredibly compelling music that’s often atmospheric and gorgeous, but sometimes also harsh and disturbing. Video interview at Tesla Inteligencia UK

Calmness, sincerity, authenticity and the playfulness of someone who knows he has the upper hand. The BBC’s desperate and plainly ignorant attempt to undermine all of this is just pathetic.

  1. Thanks for sharing my post about Nave! His album is now available for download on Bandcamp.

  2. Well, well, well Matt I really enjoyed the BBC interview with Elon Musk. Can’t see why the journalist was on such a defensive, he didn’t do himself any favours!! If I were interviewing one of the richest men in the world I would have handled it differently! I liked the way Mr Musk handled himself, and the journalist in turn. I must say and I know this is hardly the point but those chairs looked uncomfortable!!! Take another look. Thanks Matt for sharing such a great post. Sharon

    • Hi Sharon. I’m grateful and enlightened to read your comments regarding the BBC Interview. The last 10 minutes gets quite confrontational.
I have always been a bit of an antiestablishment guy and loathed the big money hotdogs, but I think Elon Musk is the first that I admire. Also, he’s very charismatic, goes against the grain and upholds free speech! He tells it how it is.
You are right about those seats lol

The first video, if you haven’t seen it already, with Shapiro and Brand I recommend highly.

  3. Yeah, I watched this interview between Shapiro and Brand yesterday. They, both raised some interesting points about slavery, family, religion and culture, topics that would require many hours of discussion on each, let alone this brief interview! Interesting though. The thing is Matt, I’ve never heard of Ben Shapiro but I looked him up. Hmm, let’s just say his politics differs from my own.

    • I see what you mean. I was a progressive leftist until everything weird started to happen. I have written about that plenty. Anyhow’s I admire Shapiro a great deal although my Politics don’t align with him so much. I actually hoped that Shapiro would run with ex Democrat Tulsi Gabbard in the next election.

  4. I guess our different views make up life’s rich tapestry! Kind regards

  5. Isn’t Ben Shapiro a Republican? Matt, what started to go weird? You’ve got me puzzled!!

  6. Hi Matt, yeah, subjects like these would need lengthy discussion! Best wishes, Sharon
