I remember my school-friend Gary spending countless school hours drawing cartoons of his school friends’ families. He had a peculiar flair for exploiting their features, and did it in such a way that you had to admire his artistry and wit. I have kept one of his drawings for old time’s sake. When I look at it every now and then, I can’t help chuckling.
I’m Matthew by the way.
He nailed my family, he really did… right down to the trailer wheels on my bike. You see, I wasn’t a very good cyclist and Gary was an excellent cyclist and frankly his bike shat all over mine.

Haha excellently done!
Wow! This is gold! I saw that it was drawn in my birth year, how did you keep the drawing? It doesn’t look too old.
Oh well now I’m showing my age! 😢😉. I kept a memorabilia scrapbook of my youth, and I took great care of it. So that would explain it. Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you liked it.
You should frame it. 🙂
Great idea. I think I will do that. My mother has all of my childhood memorabilia and unfortunately she lives on the other side of the world. But I’ll definitely get a hold of it one day. Thanks for your comment.
🙂
LOL this is great!
I’m glad you liked it Max! As I said above, Gary nailed this because of his attention to detail and humour. I think I’ll also follow the suggestion above and frame it. Cheers buddy.
I love things like that from the past…it seemed to capture that time.
I see what you mean. Not too long ago I got my memoribilia scrap sent to me thanks to Rosie you see in the photo haha. I’m still very impressed by it and the rest of my family love it.
