Discussing politics wasn’t part of my aim when I set up this blog. I even wrote how I would try to shun away from it alltogether if possible. But because a postmodern-neomarxist ideology has windswept the western-world the last 2 years (and most notably during the pandemic) I feel compelled to relay my thoughts about the dangerous times we live in.
I live in a Country called Colombia and a Continent called South America which has been gutted to the core by socialist ideological movements in recent history. The neo-marxist postmodernist movement currently underway in the Western World will undoubtedly do what it has done here and for a more extreme example – see Venezuela.
I have always said to outsiders and on this blog too, that Colombia should be the tourist Mecca of the world due to its unrivalled biological diversity and sightseeing destinations. However, a half a century of conflict between Farc (a Neo-Marxist politically armed group) and the authorities where eight million people died, disappeared or were displaced put an end to that.
The video above was forwarded in the latest ‘Bret and Heather 41st DarkHorse Podcast Livestream‘ and their discussion about it; as always compelling. I like Heather’s quotation from the Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller who wrote the following about World War 2 with emphasis on the Nazi regime. It is about the cowardice of German intellectuals and certain clergy—including, by his own admission, Niemöller himself:
‘First they came for the socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist, then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Trade Unionist, then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew…then they came for me..and there was noone left to speak for me’.

Yeh, certainly.. Social Media and the Mainstream Press are pushing this ideological narrative with great gusto.

Oh that video…they released additional video to the Floyd arrest…it showed it was a lot more to the story. Now…should he have died? No…but yes he did resist arrest. I’m not saying what happened was right…but it sheds new light on the story.
I agree. There’s always a lot more behind each shooting than a 20 second video grab. I don’t know how people can jump to rash conclusions without ascertaining all the evidence.
It’s a long video yet msnbc and CNN only showed around 2 minutes of it…funny how that works. It didn’t get the publicity of the first video in May.
Yeh, I heard on the Weinstein’s podcast about the mainstream media’s careful redaction of that video to present the narrative they are so hellbent on. The Sam Harris podcast about the actual police stats and incidents in the US should be a public information message.
If they hear something they don’t like…they ignore it…it really sucks that we are stuck with this.
Yes exactly. It’s the first time in my life where I can’t rely on the major instituitions and their news and advice. They have turned into ideological machines which churn out ‘How I should act’.
And these sheep are buying it. You now have to watch the news and then find out the complete story elsewhere.
Look… the world we grew up in, no longer exists. It’s sad, but its finished. We grew up with respect for elders and history about sacrifices, now it’s the opposite. That’s why I posted that Leonard Skynard video in California which an alien would swear was from centuries ago haha
I know man…you are either on one side or another…everything is competitive now.
It seems also very much about inter-generational incongruence. But I would suggest social media is the blame for that.
